Call Sign Karma is a book which gonna kick your ass! For a first novel, Jamie Rae hits the top of the sky, flying us to the stars!
I knew that when I read the blurb, about a female pilot fighter, bad ass trying to understand her brother’s death and finding herself in the way that I would love it, and I wasn’t disappointed!

This is the story about Tinklee Pinkerton and her fights to clear her brother’s honor, finding a meaning in her life even this one was consuming her, having a career as a pilot fighter! All was settled and she had to put her pocket face to succeed in her program. But she was dying inside, couldn’t move on from this nightmare about her brother’s crash, all inside her was rage against her father, pain, sorrow, guilt about pushing her brother to fly that plane. They were so close that losing him had wrecked her.
She kept buried this feelings deep inside and tried to show to everyone that she was a bad ass, tough and didn’t anyone to help her. She was an independent woman and didn’t need a man to messed up with her life!
But she seemed having bad Karma and it followed her everywhere, leading to meet Locke, on the beach. All I can say that Jamie Rae can write memorable encounter and trust me both of them will remind this one all their life : an handsome man appears on the beach and being hit by her! There was electricity in the air, a lot of sexual tension, intense attraction, and they ended sleeping together. A night that both of them couldn’t get out of their minds, and body mostly!

Always with her bad Karma, everything wasn’t going on as she planned: she was falling for Locke but he was his instructor, Ash trying to seduce her, her new brothers in the Air Force acting like children, her family, and above all the death of her brother was haunting her. The more she played tough, the more she was losing her temper, control with all that happened in her life.
Even if she tried to be stay away from Locke, she couldn’t resist as long as she wanted. Locke was insistent and wasn’t hiding his attraction, need for her, and that was so damn hot!!!
But when she went on a deployment in Tunisia, she put everything in perspective. Acting like that was putting everyone in danger and became to understand what really happened to her brother. She could lost her mind, if she hadn’t Locke to support her no matter what, like a rock to her. They both needed to be together, and whatever happened, they will always find each other.

This book was just so great to read, refreshing, and i was so glad to take a flight into Tinklee’s journey, finding her way back thanks to Locke and healing from her brother’s death. She found love in the way, more friends like she wouldn’t expected. It’s was a kiss ass reading!
Everything in the story was so creative, sensitive, a lot of action, and emotionally charged but with a sprinkling of a lightness which created a wonderful stability to the story. I was attached to all those wonderful characters and i can’t wait to read more books from you, so keep going writing!!And readers, as you’ll get it, don’t hesitate to read it, it’s good karma, trust me!
