Did I mention in my last review of Undressed that she could write some memorable cast characters? They are very helpful for the understanding of the story.
In that one, it’s time for Tabby Brill (Lex’s BFF), and Warner Truman to share their story. How can these two workaholics could fall in love together? As usual, the author made it interesting, and I had again a good time with this bunch of crazy guys.
Tabby Brill is a successful business woman, running her own Media company with her other BFF Blake. (For the record, the bunch of crazies BFF are : Tabby, Lex, Vive and Blake)
She doesn’t have time to have much sex, and when you read her description character, you knew that you wouldn’t be bored at all. She likes everything in red, adult toys a lot,and like to enjoyed herself a lot either! She’s also feisty and very confident, but when you read the prologue, you’re so happy that she found a family, even not blood related. Being rejected by her family, she works hard to be at the top and to be the best, without any help. She learnt to be confident and especially not to depend on a man, EVER.
Warner Truman, is one of the most healthy and richest man in the world, a spa mogul, selling and buying companies. He was good at business, a widowed man in his thirties, so lonely. He’s good guy, very close to his family. You can sense that he was very matured when you learnt about his past and grew fast. He was married very young and successful in this twenties. He has this wisdom and peace, that keep Tabby on her toes. He was sick to be surrounded by gold diggers and was looking for someone he can rely on, the best if she has her own business.
I don’t know who is the most adventurous of them, but when these two collided, it’s for the long run, trust me. Warner found in Tabby his match, even if they didn’t know exactly their “true identity” first, and some misunderstandings. This one frustrated a little bit, because Tabby and Warner are sparkling and the chemistry was here. It takes some time to get together but it was well-played and I enjoyed watching them apart as individuals and longing about each other.
Damn Warner was a real man here, not afraid of his feelings, when he wanted something, he was getting it. When he first met Tabby, but didn’t know who she really was, he was drawn and attracted but was missing his chances to get to know her better, because, how funny the situation was, he didn’t know her name, and Tabby misunderstood his. It was complicated first but fate has some funny ways to get them together.
And the sex, … Avery Aster, where did inspiration come from, really? Holy guacamole, things are hot, increasing throughout the story, and you definitely need your bucket of ice nearby! What was interesting that these parts melt perfectly into the story, and how Warner was seeing through Tabby in these moments, when she was letting her guard down.
So, no cheating, just a crazy ex and crazy friends, and I appreciated the maturity of their relationship, and Warner, you’re a keeper! It was good to see these two workaholics getting together, and finally have someone to rely on. Tabby and Warner are the bomb!
