I’m honest here, I was attracted first by the cover and then the blurb, so intriguing.
I took a chance when BL Berry asked me for reading an ARC, I jumped on it, and I wasn’t disappointed. Heartbroken for sure! I’m in a freaking mess …
I was taken aback by the plot, stunned by the writing, I was feeling it, so much. I think the author made an incredible job to write this story. Passionate. Intense. All the feels!
The ugliest moments can give you the beautiful stories, to show you that you have to let you fall, whenever someone is catching you … Or not.
Completely oriented on the psychology side, I went from all kind of emotions, through Simon and Elsie’s intense, whirlwinding romance.
Elsie went through heartbreak and was protecting her heart but when she met Simon, everything went through the window! Charming, kind and confident, he won Elsie over.
Simon was all she wanted. She was all he needed. Two soulmates connected by faith, who were meant to be.
Started a beautiful “fairytale”, when Elsie could be breathe again, with someone she truly trust and love unconditionally. I felt the chemistry, deeply feelings and I was waiting for the moment where everything would change forever.
When that moment came, it was like a freaking tsunami of emotion, annihilating anything in its way. Damn my emotions. damn my heart. I was trying to get all the shattered pieces of my heart.
I won’t reveal nothing about the storyline. Just tell you that you’re gonna be overwhelmed. Be prepared to feel and to fall.
Anyone could be in Elsie’s shoes when she had to face the ugly, the lies, the hurt, the anger.
All started like this : boy meets girl. Boy kisses the girl and won her over. They lived happily Ever after.
But it doesn’t! I was amazed by how the author put everything together; pulling the strings in the shadows, definitely not in a conventional way through different POV. Giving a such intensity, depth to the story.
This story broke my heart … I am speechless!
Even with issues who might be a huge trigger to me, everything makes sense. One slightly sour note : I wanted the last part to be more expanded, it was too me a little rushed.
The title should be An Unforgettable and Unforgivable story, I hold my breath throughout the story. A beautiful and incredible tale about falling in love, heartbreak, loss and hope.
