Seeing Evan again is taking a toll on me, I can’t sleep and my mind is in a constant state of turmoil. I wake up in the middle of the night from dreams of us. The memories of him, of us are too much. Some memories have the ability to heal. The ability to light up the dark because the beauty of the memory is so bright you’re still able to bask in it.
But the memories of us are killing me slowly. They remind me that for one moment I had everything while reminding me it’s gone. It’s the realization that we’re done that’s killing me. The realization that I can see him but can’t touch him that he exist but he’s not mine is agonizing.

Alpha guy and insta love, hot and sexy, you’re gonna be served! Evan and June had history, a very complicated one but sometimes things happened for a reason. When Evan had to protect June, he was completely in his role, looking after her with possessiveness and intensity.
After a heartbreaking short relationship, there was always this thick tension when one is around. Always aware when one of them were near, almost in tune.
Evan and June meant to be, but with one stubborn alpha guy who was too deep in his own problems, leading her utterly shattered into pieces, I knew their story was going to be challenging. And it was.
The level of the feelings here was already overwhelming from the beginning. A heavy tension, at every levels with dialogues which went straight to the heart. After a lot of unsaid things in the past, they were now in a situation when they were both angry, to see each other miserable, with all this hatred feelings coming to the surface, exploding in every way.
Evan was lost. His only safeline was June, Until he lost her. A shitty childhood, a traumatic experience in the military, he was messed up. He was very noble in his actions, and selfless when it came to the ones he loved.
June is sensitive and caring. Evan hurt her very badly and when everything got out of control, especially with Evan’s overprotective side and determination to make her his, she was totally overwhelmed.
This romance was definitely hot, a little crazy, sweet and funny. I loved how these two work together and I had to admit, Evan’s possessiveness and caveman side was a turn on. June seemed to me a lot emotional, but with a man like Evan, who couldn’t be?
There was really some good moments proving that Aurora worse Reynolds managed the BOOM. I liked it but I wanted more, I felt like I missed something, this little spark that could make this book so more special. Focusing on the depth of the characters’ feeling was great but adding a storyline with more intrigue could be so much better.
