Caught in the flames was really unexpected.

It was nothing that I pictured in my mind. The blurb intrigued me. And when I got into the story, it was really good.

I had to say that I was stunned by the turning events, I felt in the beginning a little bit mislead. Not in a bad way but I was waiting to see what the author planned. From a idyllic romance, hot and sexy to something more darker and consuming, with a hint of mystery.

I admit the heroine wasn’t on my good graces. Her fixation with firemen was a little bit … disconcerting. When she hooked with one, started an intense relationship, full of passion and hot intercourse (not that I was complaining) but I felt that something was off. Was it intentional? After reading I think it was. Even if I admire the heroine strength, Callie, I needed time to be acquainted by her. I learnt to progressively liking her.

Playing too much with fire, she got caught into the flames. 

What about the firemen?? Well Chase is just the whole package, mostly too good to be true, and by reading, I unraveled the real, raw and very secretive Chase. And once again I couldn’t stand the guy. There was something more between the good looking smiles, and casualness behavior.

Something more dangerous and darker.

Surprisingly I was hooked because the author played her cards in a smart way, playing also with emotions and my heart. Damn it was well done.

The last part of the story was my favorite part, where everything went down, going messy. When the masks came off, the truth was revealed, the feelings all over the place. Reading about this woman finally finding herself was really interesting and captivating.

I won’t reveal more about the storyline. It was something you need to discover. To let you submerged by the rush of feelings, to be burnt. It was up for the challenge and once I decided to try giving a chance to this book, I didn’t regret it!

Ah firemen …
I have to say that this book was intriguing and challenging. Mixed up feelings, hot guys and a story a little bit surprising. I didn’t expect some parts of the story, some made me cringed but I really enjoyed how the author succeeded to put everything together!
