ABOUT KATIE DELAHANTY
Katie is a fashion designer turned novelist. She graduated with a BA in Communication Studies from UCLA and a Professional Designation in Fashion Design from FIDM. It never occurred to her that she was a writer until an economic crisis induced career shift from lingerie designer to ecommerce webmistress led her to start the company blog. Not being an expert in lingerie, she decided to write the blog as a fictional serial starring a girl named Olivia Bloom who worked for the lingerie line. And that’s when Katie fell in love with storytelling. She hasn’t looked back since. Katie lives in Los Angeles with her husband.

Sweet and cute read. Believe was a story about Mark and Amanda’s journey to find happiness.
The story was enjoyable but I didn’t feel the spark enough.
Mark and Amanda were just okay. A cute couple but to me nothing more. I don’t mind a slow paced story, but between Amanda’s jealousy and insecurities, Mark’s not enough showing his feelings and not being enough persistent, and both running away when things get tough, I couldn’t really get into it. I tried.
I was afraid this book was a little bit cliché but it wasn’t. The author did a great job showing a life of a rockstar with some great insights, and good characters’ backgrounds. For both confident people, they were kinda lost, maybe everything they knew wasn’t what they looking for.
But how could they be an item? Being together?
Well after a very long time of on and off, unsaid things, running away and hopefully some help from their friends, they finally made it.
The end was good for sure but the whole book? Not convinced! It was just too soft and needed more scathing. Just sweet as a cupcake.
