Synopsis

Carina received her MBA in May, but would much rather play with her imaginary friends (the voices in her head) than work her 8 to 5. When she isn’t trying to juggle being a working mom with karate and football practices, surprising her children with her sci-fi movie knowledge, or writing, you can find her with her nose pressed against her kindle, laughing with friends, or living life vicariously as her Derby Girl persona, Writers Block.
Carina is the author the of Bastards MC series and best-selling Forever Red. She is currently writing Out of The Blue, the follow-up to Forever Red. She loves to hear feedback from her readers, no matter what type. You can email her at: carinaadamswrites@gmail.com

Why I haven’t read this book before?? Lucky was definitely right up my alley.
Sweet, fun, incredibly hot and mostly with a mature hero. And I liked a lot!
When a one night stand between a sexy bartender and a mysterious woman turned into so much more. I was intrigued to see how the author would manage their story and it turned great.
Forbidden romance with a sports twist, Lucien “Lucky” Chance and Sunny. The student and the teacher. The way of telling the story and the characters were really refreshing, efficient and well-managed.
Lucky was a kind of old soul, all wrapped up in a chiseled body. Smart, confident and also so sweet and funny. Great package right? From the moment I met this character, I was sold.
Sexy bartender at night and student at day. Popular jock. Too charming and persuasive for his own good. Not your usual sport romance hero. Add a hint of humor … well I have a crush!
Sunny was colorful, a spitfire and independent woman, funny and sexy. Strong and sassy.
And definitely catching Lucien’s attention. When the reality comes out and the curtains fails. Neither of them were willing to let it go. The pull was so strong and undeniable. Too tempting and dangerous.
As a couple, Lucien and Sunny nailed it, even if they tried first to just have a do-over and going in separate ways, their relationship was full of joyful banter, working as a team and of course filled with some dirty talks. It was really dynamic but always with a hint of sweetness.
I went from one surprise to another surprise, as the story unfold. Surprisingly, I forgot about the age difference, even if the threat of their relationship being revealed was an ongoing concern.
I won’t reveal much about the rest of the storyline, but there’s some twists, just enough to keep the reader entertained. A bit of angsty for sure but not too much. One thing which stuck me above everything else was Lucky’s behavior. He wasn’t perfect, aware of his flaws but his behavior in general … Is that guy for real?? The trueness that followed had me loving this couple, so much.
Lucky, I heart you!
