If she’d needed a day or two in bed, upset and processing and obsessively looking through pictures of the event on social media, what would that have mattered?

The Fixed series is one of my fave. I remember how I loved Alayna and Hudson from the moment they’ve met. After all these years, married with kids and demanding careers, they still had this spark and intense connection that seemed to strengthen through the years.
It seemed that this time, Hudson’s past was going to collide with the present. As you might guess, Alayna and Hudson were more in love, more passionate and possessive about each other. Bringing the heat to another level, damn the fire they make…
It was interesting to have this glimpse into their future, trying to balance the personal with professional. The dual POV reflecting each other’s thoughts, if their love wasn’t called into question, it was the consequences of their actions that might threaten it.
As a married couple, they had their fights, moments of ups and downs. These two were going into different ways and somehow have forgotten how important it was to be a team. Remembering that together they were stronger, no matter how the good will to protect your soul mate from all the danger. You can’t shelter the ones you love forever and Hudson is going to learn it the hard way.
After four books in this series, the magic is still there, this little something that made Alayna and Hudson’s journey so special. This angst and steamy vibes emanating from this couple was sinfully hot, terribly addicting. They fixed each other, both being the best version of themselves, accepting the other with their flaws and all.
We can feel all the love and dedication. They never ceased to challenge each other, to fight when it’s hard and never let it go.
It was an incredible story with a hint of mystery that you need to unravel and feel all the extent of their love, a beautiful family that remained strong, facing adversity in any way. After all these years, I’m still in love with them!
