One week.
Private cabin.
Famous physicist.
Still an unrepentant slacker.
What’s the worst that could happen?

Mona’s meticulously planned allotment of relaxation is thrown into chaos by the unscheduled appearance of her older brother’s band of friends, including the one person she’d hoped to never face again. Abram still makes her feel entirely too much, which is one of the reasons she disappeared after their one week together. But now, trapped on a mountain of snow and things unspoken, Mona will have to find a way to coexist with Abram, chaos and all.

Laws of Physics is the second trilogy in the Hypothesis series; Laws of Physics parts 1 (MOTION) 2 (SPACE) end with a cliffhanger.
Part 1 (MOTION) will be released February 11, 2019
Part 2 (SPACE) will be released March 11, 2019.
Part 3 (TIME) will be released April 15, 2019

The title says it all… I have to admit that I wasn’t convinced at all with Motion, not feeling connected to the characters or the story. I missed the connection firsthand I guess.

Let me explain, as Mona’s lies becoming too hard to handle, she left and then making Abram suffer without the real explanation. And it drove me insane. I wanted to shake Mona, who seemed to me like a too shiny, clean and too smooth personality to me. I knew that she had so much to tell and it was so disappointing that we only got a few glimpses but with the pretending thing was so confusing. I didn’t know where she was standing.

Anyway, I need some time to try to figure out Mona and Abram. When the first one was a bit flat to me, I was so glad to see them with more emotion, to feel the angst and the confrontation that should happen so much sooner.

I’ve been more invested and interested with Space, when they might have come to set things straight for once. Opting for honesty. I appreciated their banter and how Mona could surprise Abram, like this idea they had of each other wasn’t maybe not so tainted but needed more honestly and bravery to face to truth.

And Abram… that freaking poet with such a beautiful soul. When physics met music, it created a wonderful alchemy. One that captivated me until the end. Can’t wait for the last one.
