Fallon McCarthy has climbed the corporate ladder. She’s had the office with the view, the staff, and the plaque on her door. The unexpected loss of her grandmother taught her that there’s more to life than meetings and conference calls, so she quit, and is happy to be a nomad, checking off items on her bucket list as she takes jobs teaching yoga in each place she lands in. She’s happy being free, and has no interest in being tied down.

When Noah King gets the call that an eagle has been injured, he’s not expecting to find a beautiful stranger standing vigil when he arrives. Rehabilitating birds of prey is Noah’s passion, it’s what he lives for, and he doesn’t have time for a nosy woman who’s suddenly taken an interest in Spread Your Wings sanctuary.

But Fallon’s gentle nature, and the way she makes him laugh, and feel again draws him in. When it comes time for Fallon to move on, will Noah’s love be enough for her to stay, or will he have to find the strength to let her fly?

The Kristen Proby Crossover Collection features a new novel by Kristen Proby and by six of her favorite writers!

About Kristen:

Kristen was born and raised in a small resort town in her beloved Montana. In her mid-twenties, she decided to stretch her wings and move to the Pacific Northwest, where she made her home for more than a dozen years.

During that time, Kristen wrote many romance novels and joined organizations such as RWA and other small writing groups. She spent countless hours in workshops, and more mornings than she can count up before the dawn so she could write before going to work. She submitted many manuscripts to agents and editors alike, but was always told no. In the summer of 2012, the self-publishing scene was new and thriving, and Kristen had one goal: to publish just one book. It was something she longed to cross off of her bucket list.

Not only did she publish one book, she’s since published close to thirty titles, many of which have hit the USA Today, New York Times and Wall Street Journal Bestsellers lists. She continues to self publish, best known for her With Me In Seattle and Boudreaux series, and is also proud to work with William Morrow, a division of HarperCollins, with the Fusion Series.

Kristen and her husband, John, make their home in her hometown of Whitefish, Montana with their two pugs and two cats.

** ARC kindly provided in exchange for an honest review. **

It was a sweet and swoony story about a woman who never settles down and the man who made her see things differently. A man who has roots in Cunningham Hills, Montana.

I liked this idea about finding a new meaning to life. To be brave to find that something more. Fallon found her match in an unexpected way, it took one sexy zoologist to make her feel more.

Noah was a mix of sweet and hot with a strong hint of bossy. A man who wasn’t looking for love but finding it away when he met that caring and strong woman who passes through his defenses, his comfort zone.

Fallon used to move from town to town, never looking back and taking one day after day. Without realizing it, she found her place, making friends and met a man who would make her to want more.

There was definitely some strong insta-love going on but the characters took time to get to know each other. The story wasn’t as fast paced than I thought. It was a great small town romance, with endearing characters fighting for their dreams. It had low angst, almost drama free, and when it did had some, I’ve found it a little bit forced and it ruined a bit the good dynamic. Maybe it wasn’t that necessary.

However, it was beautiful story about strong connections, finding a place and a community.

I also appreciated the supportive characters becoming Fallon’s close knit family.
