Sam and Freya radiated a tremendous charm, an explosive and mind-blowing chemistry, melting my heart on the spot. It took only a few pages to be totally enraptured by this investigation.
These two had history for sure. Freya’s arch-nemesis, Sam, brought back her competitive streak and finding a balance by getting on the other’s nerves, pushing the other like no one else. Even after all these years, the flame was still there, burning more than ever.
Like a moth to a flame, attracted young souls who didn’t know how to accept what they really feel, just turning into hate but with this strong sexual tension… and oh my!
Infiltrating a secret society of underground book antiquities part was definitely interesting, to find back what was stolen and to bring it back. A thriving chase that would both put them in danger if they didn’t learn how to trust the other.
Throughout the book, this tension never ceases to intensify, while being undercover, and I’ve loved how they could be romantics with dirty minds. From bickering to smoking hot with a strong hint of romance in a few seconds!
I enjoyed Sam and Freya’s journey into finding their way back to each other, where they belong, finally showing all of them without any restraint.
A suspenseful, slow burn, steamy and action packed story. And I loved it! So much!
