About Dare Me Like You Mean It:

I’m good at hiding my feelings.

Having to pretend I’m not in love with my best friend?

Pfft. That’s child’s play.

Here’s how I do it: I avert my eyes when he walks out of his room, shirtless in all his toned glory. I squash the butterflies that fill my stomach every time he slowly unfurls a dimpled smile. And, most importantly, I keep an arsenal of “personal massagers” in my bedside drawer. Wink.

Not to brag, but Aiden Smith isn’t hard to resist if you’ve been doing it for as long as I have. In fact, we might have continued as best friends forever if not for the fact that I needed him to play the part of my fake boyfriend.

Date me like you mean it, I told him. Nudge nudge. C’mon, just go along with a little lie, help a girl out, and then we can all return to life as we know it.

Except he veered from the plan.

He crossed the line.

Flirting with me when no one else was around? Pinning me down and kissing me like that? Okay, how exactly is taking off my bra part of the ruse, Aiden?!

I’d ask him about it if I could, but well…things got ugly and we’re not best friends anymore.

In fact, we’re the exact opposite.

Now, I have to play nice even though I want to crush his heart in the palm of my hand.

Pretending not to love Aiden was the easy part.

Pretending not to hate him?

Well…I might need a little more practice.

Date Me Like You Mean It was a delightful, witty and charming romantic comedy.
I had a crush on this story. So much love for it.

Maddie and Aiden stole my heart. I got the sexual tension, the banter, humour and all wrapped up in a captivating story that kept surprising me from the beginning. They made me smile so hard it hurts.

The interesting thing is to see how appearances could be deceiving and mostly how you can act on it. Leading to some crazy situations.

Maddie had a crush on Aiden since the first time they met and let just say that seeing it through her eyes was quite the entertainment. She was hilarious and so endearing. Her mind could go moving at any speed, she was stubborn and her inner conversations, just priceless.
A little awkward and funny but mostly I adored how they quickly connected and became best friends.

Aiden is a journalist who isn’t looking for a relationship at all. He’s cocky but so freaking sweet with her, caring and loving her… like his best friend. Or maybe not.
Living with Maddie seemed to be a great deal and they seemed to find an amazing balance and so natural relationship. No complications and drama. Well until he has to play the fake boyfriend.

That was the start of a messy situation. How to make the difference between real and fake?
And this palpable tension in the air when they were in the same room… so smoking hot!

It was kinda funny because they acted like a married couple but without the intimacy. It was so natural and hilarious to watch because they were both in denial, hoping that this situation would be so easy to handle. Guess they were wrong.

I adored watching the two protagonists to navigate through this sea of feelings, where it was going to be tested for sure. These two were passionate and could argue with no end, pushing the other. This story has a whole dare thing in the air when the characters had to face their own feelings and fight for it.

There were still some challenges along the way and it was really appreciated. The alchemy that took place between Maddie and Aiden never ceased to fade away. It was well rounded, covering different sides of this relationship. Lighthearted but somehow emotional.
They kept it interesting and captivating until the end. Damn I was long way gone, falling harder for these two.

This is definitely one of my favorites from R.S. Grey. But what happened was time flew by without me noticing and I ended up caught up with a smile on my face. Heartwarming and feel good vibes. I loved every second of it.
