He’s the best bad decision she’ll ever make…
Type A attorney Fiona Quinn has one goal left to accomplish before turning 30: A big, fairy-tale wedding. All she needs is a groom. So what if she’s never been in love—or even lust—before? She’s confident she can solve the problem the way she always does, with spreadsheets and an action plan.
When a family emergency brings bad boy Max Devlin swaggering back into town—with his cocky grin, tattoos, and wanderlust—Fiona has to remind herself that he’s as unsuitable as it gets. Nope. Not happening. No matter how irresistible his invitation is for a night or seven between the sheets. If she can’t tie him down—metaphorically, of course—her pants must stay on.
Max can’t remember the last time a woman turned him down. He’s a guaranteed three-orgasms good time, dammit. So what if he’s not the marrying kind? Those sweaty palms he gets when Fiona agrees to help him save his dad’s punk rock club are just an allergic reaction to her methodical march toward matrimony. Before he hits the road again, he’s going to prove to Fiona that life’s more fun when you play rather than plan.
No one gets hurt when it’s all just fun and games, right?
Author’s Note: A steamy, opposites attract standalone romance featuring a cocky bad boy (with a heart of gold) and a buttoned-up good girl (with a secret wild side). 1-click if you’re into dirty dancing, swoony first kisses and hot trysts in supply closets. This book comes with a guaranteed (and very romantic) Happily Ever After.

Kathryn Nolan writes erotic romance novels and quick-and-dirty novellas. She loves a smart, strong heroine. She likes her heroes filthy-mouthed (and not afraid to bend a little).
And she’s all about that slow-burn sexual tension. When she’s not at her day job (which is top-secret) she enjoys feminism, foreplay and having her nose in a book.
She’s a morning writer, a bike commuter, and the world’s biggest X-Files fan.

I adored Roxy and Edward’s story In Strictly Professional and Fiona and Max’s journey didn’t disappoint. Once again, I had a crush, the biggest of all!
And then Kathryn Nolan’s magic writing happens and damn my freaking heart… the storytelling that would melt my heart, swoon tons and emotional and hit right in the feels. This intoxicating and exhilarating experience.
Romantic with a sexy mind.
Fiona is a wild card but utterly different from her artistic family, two musicians as parents and a sister who owns a tattoo parlor and shares with them love for music, punk rock and live shows.
Instead of following the mayhem, she’d rather like stability, spreadsheets and rules and became a badass lawyer. Fierce, strong and definitely not a damsel in distress.
Max… le freaking sigh… just perfect for Fiona.
This bad boy with a heart of gold, always on the move and enjoying one day at a time, never needing to settle anywhere until he came back home and met Fiona again. Raised by his father since her mother left them and living her life without family attachments might have influenced his lifestyle. I was moved by his sensitivity and generosity and beautiful soul.
Fiona and Max have an incredible chemistry, flirty banter with a strong hint of hotness but it was so much more. Like watching two souls collide so beautifully and completing the other, like it was meant to be. I could feel this little something cracking in the air and I didn’t want it to end.
Fiona was looking for her soulmate and to get married whereas Max has itchy feet, to travel and discover what the world has to offer. Both weren’t looking for the same thing but somehow they met in the middle. Electric, sensual and sinfully sexy but at times sweet and tender.
I adored how music took a great place in this story, through the characters’ moods, from joy to sadness. It explored as well families’ relationships, how deep it can shape you, the one from blood but also the ones from the heart.
There was so much love, so much sincerity in this book and mostly written with heart.
Even after finishing it, the feeling is still there. Definitely for a long time. Top favorite!!!
