She’s also super, duper fun at a party, especially if she’s been drinking whiskey. When she’s not writing, she’s reading, sleeping, gaming, or designing graphics.

Fun, sweet, emotional with a strong hint of angst!
This small town romance was as much frustrating the hell out of me as captivating me. Playful enemies with tons of friction who didn’t really hate the other but just so stubborn.
No one was willing to give up, especially when the future of their farm was at stake.
The city girl with pink boots, lactose intolerant has inherited half of her grandfather’s farm and had to deal with the broody but too sexy farmhand. There were sparks but not the one you would think about.
I appreciated the main characters’ background, all the layers, slowly putting these two together, learning about the other. I guess I’ve been more moved by Jake’s background and how he found in Olivia’s grandfather a family to treasure and protect. Olivia was like a bulldozer with all her good intentions, adding some modernity on this farm which haven’t changed since she left.
Except for the farmhand who tended to work without a shirt on. Their story provided plenty of emotion but also a lot of laughter and sweetness.
And the hero… freaking swoon!
I had to say that the first part was a little long to me, like this regular pattern when the heroine could do something and you knew that the hero would of course not approve her choices. Like this battle when the other would like the last word and ending arguing. And repeat.
The descriptions of the farm were detailed and interesting, showing he hard work and labor, the difficulties but also the joy it brought to their lives.
I was waiting for the moment when some things would finally move forward. The second part was definitely stronger, moving to the romance part and also because these two were slowly letting the other in. Baby steps!
The main characters have such beautiful chemistry and I enjoyed reading their story.
