What an emotional ride!!! Ginger Scott is one of my go-to authors when it comes to capturing the essence and vibrancy of the youth. Raw, tough but also sweet and tender.
This story just hits right on the feels, at full speed. And it was just the beginning. I’ve been moved by this trio of friends composed by Hannah and her brother, Tommy and Dustin, going on races together. A tight knit group that might implode soon when the hearts get involved.
Hannah’s been in love with Dustin but with his complicated situation and dysfunctional family, it seems that the boy who has his heart for so long never crossed the line. A badass girl who always got his back, who wasn’t afraid to keep him on his toes, cheering him on at any race.
Dustin’s story is heartbreaking. This boy is a survivor who felt like an outsider for so long. The only thing that he can control is the race, the fun and the thrill of the speed. The peace and the feeling that he belongs when Hannah.
I didn’t expect less from this author, to bring so many feelings, captivating me until the end.
A story when I was rooting for Hannah and Dustin, a love so strong and passionate, with such a beautiful connection. Damn my heart!
I cannot wait to see where it goes because of that ending… just making me want to read more, to feel more and all the things in between.
This race is just at the beginning and the upcoming curve will be high on the feels, I’m sure about that!
