An entertaining, fun and effervescent romantic comedy that made me smile more than once, with a hint of angst and slow burn. Grant and Tate won me over. They were so enjoyable to read, endearing characters who were definitely a great match.
A stubborn heroine, a swoony hero, lovely and hilarious friends, a delightful niece and we’re all set! But not without some fight! Tate has a dating rule: no professional baseball players, but falling for one in the end. Her big brother was part of the team and made it clear that she was off limits, well, it didn’t help either.
When she met Grant, he ticked all the boxes on her no dating list and was too dangerous for her heart. Starting an internal battle to fight their insane chemistry and finding something easier to handle. Let’s just say that her inner conversations, especially freaking out, were hilarious. The thing is, Grant knew perfectly how to read her mind without even trying.
Grant was a swoony hero who could hide his feelings towards Tate, this intense pull she was so trying to fight. He was focused on the game, a good friend and mostly a lethal weapon when it comes to Tate’s heart. Melting her on the spot, making her crave his presence. driving her crazy in every way… the list is endless! The man was determined to win her heart in spite of her insecurities and stubbornness.
I adored the back and forth between these two, the banter was great and they had amazing chemistry. Swoon, swoon, swoon!
